Heating products are very important for successfully keeping reptiles in captivity as these animals require certain temperatures. It is not only important that it is warm but it is also important which place inside the terrarium is warm. As reptiles are poikilothermal, they need different areas in the terrarium where they can heat themselves up or can cool down. When choosing a heating product you should consider offering the animals a point inside the terrarium where the temperature is above the ambient temperature. The existence of a cooler hideaway which the reptile can use to regulate its body temperature, is also important.
